28 arrested in special operation in Adabor and Mohammadpur of the capital
Police arrested 28 people in Adabor and Mohammadpur areas of the capital on Saturday in a day-long special drive for robbery, drug dealing and various cases.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammadpur region Assistant Commissioner AKM Mehedi Hasan gave this information in a press release on Sunday.
The release said that out of the 12 people arrested from different areas of Adabor police station, 4 are accused in drug cases, 1 has an arrest warrant against him, 5 have violated the DMP ordinance and 2 have criminal procedure code cases against them. 2 kg of ganja, 1 chapati, 1 Chinese axe and Tk 4,350 worth of drug sales were recovered from them in the drive.
The arrested persons from Adabor are Alamin (22), Shaon Hawlader (20), Azizul Haque (37), Nur Uddin Islam (18), Nadim Hossain (20), Roni Bepari (23), Shahinur Islam (22), Raju Ahmed (32), Rizika (45), Maryam (21), Raju (20) and Sujan De.
On the other hand, 16 people were arrested in a drive in Mohammadpur police station area. Of them, 5 were arrested while preparing for a robbery and 11 were arrested under arrest warrants in various cases. Two samurai swords, a ramda and an iron axe were recovered in the drive.
The arrested persons in Mohammadpur are Abdul Latif (52), Lal Mia (19), Kabirul (20), Tariqul (21), Rubel (26), Touhidul Alam (27), Fahad (20), Sumon (22), Delwar Dilu (35), Nurul Islam (32), Arman (37), Nadim (40), Tasib Taika (22), Anwar (45), Julhas (35) and Tipu (40).
Police said that the process of sending the arrested persons to court is underway.
